Dr David Gordon

Child, Youth & Family Psychiatrist

Dr Gordon is a child and adolescent psychiatrist working in public and private practice on the North Shore of Sydney. He has a passion for helping young people to overcome life’s obstacles and reach their full potential.
Dr Gordon has extensive experience treating individuals and families of all ages. He has worked in a variety of settings from tertiary teaching hospitals to community health organisations like the Kirkton Road Centre in Kings Cross and the Sydney Drug Education and Counselling Centre (SDECC) in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
He has completed a Fellowship with the CICADA Centre (the Centre for Care and Intervention for Children & Adolescents Affected by Drugs & Alcohol), working between the Adolescent Medicine Unit and the Psychological Medicine Unit at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead, including experience with The Gender Clinic.
In the public sector, Dr Gordon specialises in working with young people with mixed mental health and substance use issues. He is currently the only psychiatrist in NSW with dual training in child, adolescent & family psychiatry and addiction psychiatry.
At The Family Talks Clinic, Dr Gordon manages a wide variety of mental health and relationship issues, including mood and anxiety disorders. He has special interests in ADHD and gender issues.
David is also a family man and a native of the North Shore.

Dr Gordon works on Tuesdays.
