Dr Mahon-Daly is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist that has trained in the Northern Sydney and Central Coast. He has experience in a wide range of different psychiatric facilities including inpatient and community settings. In his final years of psychiatry training, he completed sub-specialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Mahon-Daly has been exposed to the use of Bowen’s family therapy and Conversational Model Therapy (CMT) during his training as a psychiatrist. He utilises the principles of both these therapies in treating his clients. He has done further training in Circle of Security to inform his approach to treating young clients and their families.
Dr Mahon-Daly is an honorary lecturer with Macquarie University and has done guest lectures, teaching senior medical students. He is a published author, having discussed the use of video games as a therapeutic tool in Australasian Psychiatry.
Dr Mahon-Daly is currently open to seeing children, adolescents, and adults.
