Dr Jane De Matteis

Principal – Senior Clinical Psychologist

B.Psych (Hons), D Psych (Clinical), MAPS.

Jane is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working with young people and families in both government and non-government organisations, including the Child Development Unit at KKH (Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore) and as Clinical Lead within the headspace (Australian Youth Mental Health Foundation) network. Jane is committed to facilitating change and development in individuals and families using a systemic lens to understand and treat psychological problems.
Jane has a number of clinical interests and specialties. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of anxiety and mood related disorders with children, adolescents, and adults. She also has experience in the treatment of eating disorders, sleep difficulties and adjustment difficulties, and behavioural challenges related to ADHD. Jane is experienced in a range of psychometric assessments including cognitive/aptitude tests, academic achievement and learning disorders. She also has experience and an interest in the assessment of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
Jane’s work with young people and their families is enhanced through her knowledge and skill in Bowen Family Systems Theory, assisting clients to develop more effective options to managing anxiety, increasing more effective self-management skills in relationship to others, and increasing flexibility and resiliency to meet life’s challenges.
Jane utilizes a range of evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy.

Dr De Matteis works on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
