I am a clinical psychologist with over 10 years’ experience working with a broad age group 16+ years with mental health issues.
My special interests and experiences are providing individual psychotherapy for clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, as well as interpersonal conflicts and personality disorders.
I am committed to delivering a variety of evidence-based interventions in a context of holistic and person-centred approach. Regarding the therapeutic methods, I utilize a range of evidence-based treatments including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based interventions and object relations psychodynamic psychotherapy depending on the clients’ needs, characters, and problems.
Having a Persian background, being an immigrant and working with clients in different settings including rehabilitation settings, psychiatry hospitals, oncology hospital and private practices, has given me an opportunity to work with different cultural groups and communities. I am interested and sensitive to consider cultural differences in providing any kind of psychological interventions. I enjoy accompanying my clients on their journey toward personal development and building their own lifestyle which is in peace with themselves and the world.
